Using the major of the towel the clot the blood oozing out of this side, he looking into the eyes of his former friend. He was dying, and it was unlikely Brad could save him. He was too badly hurt for Brad’s first aid training. An impalement was too sever of an injury.
“It’s not so bad, Hector.” He whispered, applying more pressure to his wound. “You’ll see, you’ll pull through this.” Brad looked up into the eyes of his love, tears forming and running down his face. “Acacia.” He said, miserably.
“Shut up, Brad.” Hector said with a tiny laugh. “Don’t worry, my old friend. Death is just the next great adventure in life to a well organized mind.” Brad couldn’t help but laugh. He hadn’t changed at all. “Harry Potter?” Brad asked, still laughing. “Absolutely. I’m sorry Brad. I’m so sorry.” His cold eyes looked towards the ocean, then his body relaxed. Hector moved no more.

Kelsi watched anxiously as people began to file out of the plane. She summoned all the strength she could, and within moments, the food cart was moved enough that she could lift her leg. Luckily it wasn't broken, and although it screamed in pain, Kelsi jumped out behind the others, the heat of the flames countering out the luke warm downpour.
Everything was in chaos. As she joined the others and watched the plane explode, she couldn't feel anything but despair. Would she ever see her family again? Would there even be a chance of rescue? She couldn't even think about the student who had become impailed. If they didn't find first aid, he would soon be d-- Kelsi refused to even put that word through her head. She couldn't stand to think about casualties.
Thunder boomed overhead, and the rain became even stronger, soaking everything. At least it would put out the remainder of the fire. All Kelsi could do was cry. She couldn't stop shivering, but not because she was cold. She was scared, and despite the number of students, she felt alone.

Acacia felt so helpless. She knew some first aid but, they didn't have the materials they needed to save him. Hector needed official medical attention. And this island as far as they knew, had none. Tears slid down her face again as she watched Brad literally watching his friend die. It was so sad and heart-breaking. She didn't know what it was like to loose someone close to you but, she knew it must be terrible. Acacia wouldn't know what she would've done if Brad would've been killed in the plane and she survived. So far, the only three she knew to be dead was the pilot, flight attendant, and the girl she didn't know.
Her lower lip trimbled slightly as she looked up in Brad's eyes. Keeping her mind busy she turned her attention back to the cloth and turned it over. “Acacia.” She looked up as she heard her name. Seeing the look on his face, she reached over with her free hand and grasped his free one tightly and comfortingly. "It'll be alright." Those words were the only ones that she could let out of her mouth. Acacia laughed softly as she heard the two talk like old friends. Then when she saw his eyes look towards the ocean, her eyes widened in a little bit of panic. She placed her index finger on his neck and felt he had no pulse. Looking down, Acacia stood up and moved to the other side of Hector. Then she curled up in Brad's arms and wrapped hers tightly around him hoping it would help comfort him. Suddenly the rain started and she just buried her head in his shoulder.

Brandi barley made it off the plane before it had exploded.Once off and safely away from it, she collapsed in the sand. She was bruised and scratched badly, and her arm - Had a sharp, increasing pain in it.Every time she moved it, she would let out a yelp of agony.Tears rolled down her cheek.'Will I ever see my dad and friends again?'She asked herself, holding back heavy tears.
Brandi looked around at everyone else. She lay her hand on her other arm gently, sighing heavily, her chest heaving with every breath. Her arm started hurting worse. She was staying as calm as possible. She got up, still holding her arm and looked around again.
Brandi saw the twos boys and the one girl..She heard what happened on the plane before it crashed. It was sad to loose a good friend. She felt so bad, but there was nothing anyone could do.'Is this the end?' She wondered, looking out over the ocean.

Hector Tobias was dead and it seemed as if the world seized to exist. Brad held Acacia, tears running down his face. Sobbing, he whispered in her ear. “I love you so much, Acacia. I know you’re always here for me.” He let her go, and kissed her on the forehead.
“Everyone.” Brad called out, whipping away his tears. “Everyone listen! We’re stuck here for god knows how long. We’ve already lost people. The pilot, the flight attendant, that girl who smashed had her head against the glass, and now this boy, Hector Tobias. I knew Hector for more than half of my life, and I will miss him terribly.”
Brad took a breath, and then continued. “But for a second we need to focus on survival. We can burry our looses tomorrow. But right now we need to salvage everything we can. Try to find your luggage. Anything that you find that belongs to casualty or is property of the airline, place them over here.” He said, pointing out an area. “We need to build shelters and find out what we have. We don’t have much light left. We need to hurry.”

Kimmy was unable to move and niether was anyone else. They were trapped on the island and may be stranded her for more than a few weeks. They had to find their own food on the island in order to survive until help came.
No, Kimmy thought. This can't be happening. We're not trapped on an island. It must be a dream. Yes, thats it. It's all just a dream. It's not possible that we're stuck on an island. I bet this hasn't even happened yet.
Kimmy tried shaking her head to wake herself up. It didn't work. She then pinched herself hard on the arm and closed her eyes as she thought, If this is a dream, then no imprint will show.
She opened her eyes and opened them in horror as the truth was beginning to sink into her. The pinch mark left an imprint. They were, indeed trapped on the island.

Leaping from the plane, Kirsty landed on the beach sand, her face plowing into it. The gash on her face was only irritated by the sand, and she howled. Standing, she ran away from the plane with her carry-on luggage bag in tow. Falling beside Annie, she looked at her friend.
Just a mere second before the plane exploded, Brad leaped from it, that boy in his arms. Then, the boy died in Brad's arms. Turning her face away, she tried to focus. All the image's of dead people were in her mind. There was a girl that died right in front of Kirsty. The image of that girl's head being split open by the window sickened her, and she hurled. The contents of her stomach splayed out on the beach sand, and she lifted her face, wipeing her mouth with her hand.
Looking around, she saw others seriously injured. Frowning, tears slid down her face. Now she would never see her parents again. Never! What would they think when they heard that the plane never landed in Honolulu!?

Brandi groaned slightly at the pain in her arm.She looked over at Kirsty, she had talked with her briefly on the plane.Still holding her arm, she walked over to her"Kirsty? Are you alright?Your not too bad hurt are you?" She asked out of deep concern.
Brandi took a deep breath and glanced around. She defiantly agreed with Brad.Though her arm, witch was broken, hurt increasingly bad, she would do anything and everything needed done.It would help in everyones survival. Brandi turned her attention back to Kirsty, waiting for her reply.

Post by Antoinette Craven on Sept 2, 2007 19:35:36 GMT -5
Her sobs slowly subsided and turned into small, quiet tears. This fun trip to Hawaii, where students could let loose and enjoy the company of the ocean, quickly turned into a life or death matter. People were dead, some, may still be dying. And to top it all of, her friend Kirsty had emptied the contents of her stomach right next to where Antoinette's body laid. The sight wasn't unnatural for her to see, but the smell of vomit, the sight of people dying, and the overwhelming cries of the people around her, seemed to snap Antoinette's mind back into her normal reality.
The quivering of her body subsided, but the tears still formed in her blue eyes and ran down her face. She whipped the blood from her forehead, but was still oblivious to the blood running from her arm. Antoinette's natural-born-leader-instincts kicked in. She walked over to Brad, who seemed most sane out of everyone on the island. "We-we need to get people together to g-get supplies, make shelter, fire," she stammered, "before it g-gets dark. Even if they're s-still in a s-state of shock w-we need to push them to help."

Acacia let him hold her and she let gentle tears slowly fall. Praying that she didn't soak his shirt, she remembered that she still had on his blue over-shirt and she took it off and gave it back to him. She whispered back, "How is this possible? We only just met over two hours ago, but it feels like we've known each other for forever? There's no way we can possibly love each other already is there?" Acacia only asked what was really bothering her. She felt that she loved him but, she didn't know how it was possible because she just met him.
Taking in a deep breath, she hugged herself and started walking towards the plane. The flames had died down now and there were only a couple small ones where the pilot sat. The plane skidded across the sand when it crashed, so that the bottom was almost burnt out. When she looked at the plane, it was only then that she realized how close they all were to dying. Thanking God most of them were alive, she walked to where an emergency door was and she tried to open it. After tugging on it a couple of times it had come open and she walked in and tried to find the where the emergency first aid kit was.

What just happened? Was that her way of saying she didn’t love him? Confusion and anger swept through him, but he did not have time to worry about his romantic relationships. Not many people seemed to move. Anger erupted out of Brad. His friend was dead, and all of them were headed down the same path.
“You all don’t seem to get it!” Brad yelled, walking towards those who were motionless. “If we don’t move now, we’re all going to die on this island. Yes rescue may come, but what if it doesn’t!? We don’t know where the hell we are. We’re just kids! But you better make a d**n good attempt at surviving!”
He walked over to fall tree branch, picked up the stick, wrapped his shirt around the end of the stick, walked over the a flame caused by the explosion, and lit the make shirt. The shirt caught on fire instantly, thanks to the humid weather they were experiencing.
“This is fire! We only have a little bit, so we need to take advantage of it while we have it! Move!” He yelled, pacing back and forth. “Unless you’re severely injured,” He said, looking at a girl with a broken leg, “Get your lazy asses up at go help! I’ll attend to the wounded. I’m a registered emergency medical technician.”
And he was. Along with his lifeguard training last summer, Brad Dorian had taken the EMT classes at the town center and occasionally volunteered with the squad. Now his knowledge was coming into play. It seemed as though he was the closest thing on the island to a medic.

Acacia found the first aid kit and looked around for her carry on bag. towards the back of the plane when everything was chaotic. Walking back the words that she said to Brad entered her head. How is this possible? We only just met over two hours ago, but it feels like we've known each other for forever? There's no way we can possibly love each other already is there?" The reality of what she said struck her and she sat down in one of the chairs that weren't burnt. Now he would probably think she hated him. Acacia sighed and heard him yell.
After a few minutes of sitting, she got up and grabbed her carry on and the first aid kit. Looking around the plane she got out and walked over to Brad. Now was the time she would have to remember all of the lifeguard technices that she learned for her Lifeguard training that she was supposed to do this summer before she decided to go on the trip. Acacia had been a lifeguard since the summer after her freshmen year in high school. And she already missed the pool but, the ocean would be good enough for her. Walking out she carried the bag over to Brad as a few people started to move. Closing her eyes she sighed and once she walked up to him, they opened. " I found the first aid kit. The luggage is still safe." Acacia figured he would ignore her so she sat the bags down and slid her hands into her jean pockets. "Brad listen. What I said back there, I didn't mean that I didn't love you. I just over-thought things and, I didn't think of how you would take it. I really do love you. When you almost died, my heart broke in two. But, if you hate me now I totally understand...." She let her voice trail off and she turned around and got ready to walk away.

At Acacia’s words, her lion inside him purred. His stomach was in his throat. It was as if she had plucked the words right out of his head and said them back. “Alright. Have everyone else bring all the medical supplies over to me. Make sure the everything is intact when I get it, especially antibiotics. Ask the ladies for any sleeping drugs, Advil, or chap stick they may have. It’s important we know what we have.”
Then he saw her turn and walk away. Quickly he grabbed her hand and gently spun her around. He put his lips right up next to her ear, so only she could hear, and said, “You’re my sunshine, Acacia Montez. You’re my soul mate and I’ll love you for the rest of my life, even if you, one day, don’t return the feeling. But right now we have to concentrate on setting ourselves up for survival. Tonight, we can enjoy ourselves.” He said , giving her a naughtily wink.

A smile crossed her face as she felt him grab her hand and she spun around. Hearing his voice so close to her ears, she gave a pleasant shiver and playfully rolled her eyes, as if teasing him. Then she smiled again and remembered a song that she loved listening to. "When you dream there's a chance you'll find, a little laughter, or happy ever after..."Acacia softly sang before leaning her head against his.
Slowly she started to pull out of his arms and walked away until the only thing touching him was her hand. And at the moment it was holding his. Acacia remembered singing in a school musical at her last school and she loved it. She loved performing and her drama teacher said she had an amazing voice, but, she didn't believe it.

“Go.” He whispered into her ear. She knew what he needed her to do, and Brad had all the faith in the world in her. Slowly he looked up the beach for supplies for his task. He needed to build two shelters. One as a medical station, and one for Brad and, if she would live with him, Acacia. He loved her, and wanted her with him all the time, but didn’t necessarily want her to think that he only wanted her body. Thinking of a reasonable excuse to use when inviting her to live in his shelter, he decided on the fact that if they could manage to live together, they would be conserving supplies.
The only man made supply he needed were two traps or blankets and two pieces of rope. The rope was the easiest supply to find, as they always kept rope in the thingypit. He, however, could only find one tarp. He settled on the only trap he could find, and a very thick bed comforter.
He walked back to a part of the beach which was shaded by a large tree and set to work on the medical shelter. He used the tarp for this shelter, in an attempt to keep all the drugs dry. The only other things he required were a few, large boulders and some tall, stable branches. They were not hard to find.
After completing the medical shelter, he set to work on his own area. In about fifteen minuets, both shelters were up and he was impressed with his handiwork. Then he saw Acacia coming towards him with some items in her hands. He hoped that these were the supplies he asked for.
