That's how he is during all fights. He will not back down and absolutely hates being a called a coward. It annoys him because he knows he could fight for what he believes in. People always misjudge him based on his looks and music style. He likes when people underestimate him; he loves the look on their face when he shows them that they are terribly wrong.
Scott is severely loyal to his friends and loved ones. He would die before he betrays one of them. He tends to hold grudges upon people who betray him, lie to him or use him for other purposes. He just hates it so much that he won't forgive a person who has done that to him before. And Scott stands up for people who don't have voices of themselves. If he sees someone getting bullied, he would most likely stand up for him. It's just in his nature and was like that ever since he came to the Island.
Scott is a flirt. He knows it and he embraces it. He's a natural at it. He loves to flirt with girls. To see them blushing and looking away and pretending that they aren't affected by it. It always make him laugh later on at how gullible girls can be. He hopes to find a girl who is unaffected by his actions and will put up a fight. When Scott Travers was sixteen, Scott when on a secret research trip to a newly discovered Island. Scott had not wanted to go, but the researcher had threatened to expose a Travers dark family secret. Scott was told to complete his research and take orders from his commander, Benjamin.
When Flight 294, bound for Hawaii, crash landed on the Island, he was ordered the investigate and pose as a castaway. His final orders were to escape from their camp with all the information that Benjamin requested.
Scott hates life on the Island. Everything is horrible, included the tasks he is ordered to do. They have a saying on the island: “Follow Your Orders. After That, Take What You Desire.” Scott lives by these rules, which influenced the rape of one of the castaways.

Brad stalked off into the back of the plane, Acacia hot on his heels. He could hear her breathing; smell her perfume. He stopped abruptly, starting out of the plane window, his fear of heights suddenly coming back to him. He closed his eyes, and the smallest tear ran down his cheek. How could such an old friend turn into such a mortal enemy?
Her heard her voice, and slowly turned, looking into her milky eyes. He said nothing for a moment, yet the silence was not awkward. Finally he said, “I’m so sorry, Acacia.” His tone was hurt, torn, and miserable. “I realize how horrible it was, and I’ll understand if you never talk to me again.”
He turned and whipped a tear away. Without looking at her he said, “You know, it wasn’t all out of spite against Hector. I really like you.” And then he turned to her, and ran his hand, slowly, through her long black hair. “You’re the most amazing girl I’ve ever met.”
