In the early 19th century,The Thorncreek Institute was founded by a wealthy wizard named Nicholas Frost. At the time, many young wizards learned from their parents, grandparents, aunts or uncles, whoever could. Most muggle-born wizards and withes were more or less oblivious to their powers, and went their whole life without education While Frost was teaching his neice one day, she mentioned how she would like to meet other children like her, and learn with them instead of on her own. This gave Frost the marvelous idea of starting a wizarding school. He bought a piece of land on the outskirts of the wizarding Village of Owlsbury, Connecticut, and built a mansion-like boarding school. He modeled it after the European Schools, especially Hogwarts, his father's Alma Mater. At first, the school was limited to students who could be found in nearby towns and cities, but word spread, and people from all over began to send their children there for education in Magic. So long as they had magical ability and were willing to learn, Frost accepted them all into his school, by then called the Thorncreek Institute for Magical Study. The School is still running today, open to students from all over North America. Enter the Institute
